William Harry Bell

William Harry Bell - dedicated husband, grandfather, father, brother, and friend passed away at the age of 74 on Friday, January 13, 2023, after a fierce battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and grandsons Daniel, Matthew and Ryan Zoldos who took care of him. Bill graduated in 1966 from McKees Rocks High School. He continued his education at ICM and enlisted in the Air Force to serve eight years as a computer operations specialist. In the Air Force he served at Dover, Charleston, Korea, and NORAD in the Cheyenne Mountain. He went on to work at PPG Industries in computer operations for thirty years before retiring in 2007. Bill made many friends along the way and always loved life to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling, boating, and camping with his family. Golfing was his passion as well as painting with his family and loved Pittsburgh sports. William was born to Harry and Mildred (Birch) Bell. Bill is survived by his wife Diane (Schulter) Bell of 55 years, his children David Bell and Kim (Ray) Zoldos, sisters Elizabeth (Gene) Thomas and Patricia Peroni, seven grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His family wishes to extend a special thanks to the dedicated staff at Hillman Cancer Center, Concordia and Gentiva Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hillman or a charity of your choice. Family and Friends are welcome for visitation on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the Kennedy Township location of the Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home  941 McCoy Rd, McKees Rocks, PA 15136 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00pm. Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday, January 20, 2023  at 12:00 Noon in the Musmanno Chapel. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 1:30pm.
