Uliana D. Federico 

November 12, 1928 to April 16, 2020 

Of Kennedy Township, age 91, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2020 with her family by her side. 

Uliana was born on November 12, 1928 in Sulmona, Italy, daughter of Agostino and Maria DiCenzo. 

Beloved wife of the late Gaetano Gino Federico for 62 years. They were married in Sulmona, Italy June 16, 1948. 

Loving mother and matriarch of three children: late Gino Federico, Maria Federico (John) Beighel and Panfilo (Joanne) Federico. 

Precious grandmother of Jennifer (Fred) Klose, Jason (Janette) Beighel, John (Jennifer) Beighel, Gino (Ashley) Federico, Vanessa (Robert) Sidick and Nina Federico. Also survived by 12 wonderful and adored great-grandchildren. 

Dear brother of Aldo (Nancy) DiCenzo of Mt. Nebo, Sewickley. Uliana is also survived by 7 nieces and their children, cousins and friends. 

Uliana was a traditional hard-working Italian immigrant homemaker who enjoyed the happy and fulfilled faces of her family and guests when she cooked all those wonderful homemade specialties (“Mangia!”).  Uliana and Gino enjoyed socializing with their friends and family over a good meal and a glass of wine. Uliana liked tending to her immense garden especially the tomatoes, crocheting and occasional Chinese food. She took great pride in caring for and showing love for her family especially the babies when they arrived.  She created innumerable memories with all those who knew her and she will be sorely missed.

Uliana will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery. 

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Uliana’s viewing and service will be private to her family. After this pandemic ends, family and friends will be invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Archangel Gabriel Church (St. Malachy).
