The Reverend Terrence Elmer Johnson of Evans City, Pennsylvania, went to eternal rest with his Lord February 13, 2023.
Father Terry was born in Sharon Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of Sharpsville High School, Youngstown College, and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He was married to Mary Anne Stubbs of Irwin, Pennsylvania, with whom he recently celebrated his 55th wedding anniversary.
Father Terry, a retired Anglican clergyman, was serving as an associate at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, at the time of his death. He had served numerous congregations over his ministry, including St. Francis-in-the-Fields, Somerset, Pennsylvania, and St. Thomas church, North Syracuse, New York. He also spent many years as a hospice chaplain. He was a beloved pastor to many throughout his life of ministry.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne Johnson, of Evans City, Pennsylvania and by his twin brother, Timothy Johnson, of Girard, Ohio. He is also survived by his three daughters and their husbands: Margaret and Timothy Douglass of Henderson, Nevada; Rebecca and Richard Wells of Evans City, Pennsylvania; and Catherine and Anthony Polhamus of Syracuse, New York; by eight grandchildren: Christina, Richard Jr., Zachary, Jared, Veronica, Grace, Anthony Jr., and Isaiah; and by two great-grandsons, Jaxon and Braxton.
A service of Christian Burial with Holy Eucharist will be held for Father Terry on Saturday, February 18, 2023, 2 PM, at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 4106 St. Thomas Drive, Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, Bishop Cameron of the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh presiding. A reception at the church with the family will follow the service.
