Age 84, of McKees Rocks, Pa  passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17.  Beloved mother of Michael (Jackie) Simpson, Vicki Simpson, George (Acme) Simpson, Jr. and the late Lisa (surviving spouse Dino, Sr.) DeAngelis. Loving grandmother to Dino (Toni) DeAngelis, Jr., Darren (Marissa) DeAngelis, Craig Simpson, Alexandra Simpson, Sean Simpson, Zachary Trusnovic, Madison (Matthew) Zarzeczny, Blake Simpson, Declan Simpson, Arden Simpson and the late Anthony (surviving spouse Katherine) DeAngelis.  Great-grandmother to Francesca & Aubrey DeAngelis and Dino V. DeAngelis. Sister of Sandra Krause.  Preceded in death by her mother, Marie Dawson Kniess, her father Samuel Kniess, brothers Arthur and James Kniess, and sister Nancy Victor. Shirley retired from PNC bank where she worked as a teller.  She was proud of her German and Scotch-Irish heritage and was known for her quick wit and sense of humor.  Family and friends are welcome for visitation at the Kennedy Township location of the ANTHONY M. MUSMANNO FUNERAL HOME, INC. 941 McCoy Road McKees Rocks, PA 15136 on Monday from 2:00pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral service Tuesday 11:00 am in the Musmanno Chapel, followed by burial at Mount Calvary cemetery.
