ROGER M. PALMER
SEPTEMBER 2,1944 -JANUARY 30, 2026
Roger M. Palmer , 81 of McKees Rocks,Pa. passed into heavens gates on January 30th 2026.
He was born September 2 1944 in Josephine,Pa. to Wendell and Edna Palmer.
Roger was a devoted husband and father and will be remembered for his kindness, warmth and love of life.He was willing to help anyone who needed him.
He was self employed as a roofing/siding contractor for many years and enjoyed his trade very much. He worked all over Pennsylvania , Ohio and West Virginia, making homes more beautiful for over thirty plus years.
Roger also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and riding his quad. He had a real knack for bird calls and could be heard all over the neighborhood where he lived, calling the birds every day. He was a fan of fifties music and people enjoyed him singing songs of Elvis and Chuck Berry. If you had a name that there was a song about he would be singing it.
Roger attended Allegheny Center Christian Missionary Alliance Church for twenty eight plus years. He loved the Lord and was looking forward to seeing him when he passed.
He told his family, "You will miss me for a while,but you will be okay. Just remember I will be with Jesus because I accepted God's free gift of salvation."
Roger was a volunteer fireman in Crafton PA for a number of years.He was also a member of the Sto-Ken Rox Lions Club for twenty years. You could see him on any given day, putting up a new bench sign for the Lions club or cleaning off graffiti of a bench or cutting the grass around the benches or putting back together, one that had been hit by a car.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Bonnie Lockhart.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years Julia Baker, Palmer and his daughter, Diane Pastorius and her partner, Richard Melani and also his daughter Deborah Laux ( Regis), his grandson Joshua Pruss and partner Kristen Santry, his grandson Andrew Hutchko (Kaylee) his great grand son Jonah Pruss, his great grand daughter Theadoria Huchko. Roger is also survived by numerous nieces,nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation at the Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, February 7, 2026. from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 4:00 pm in the Musmanno Funeral Chapel.
