Patricia Jean (Shearn) Honeygosky
April 15, 1935 – September 20, 2025
Patricia “Pat” Honeygosky, 90, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025. Born on April
15, 1935, she was the daughter of Josephine (Taylor) Shearn and Sylvester Shearn.
Pat’s mother passed away when she was only 18 months old, and she was lovingly raised by her
father and grandmother, Josephine Ebner Taylor, along with her brother Clyde. Affectionately
called “Paddy” by her family, she graduated from Peabody High School and the University of
Pittsburgh.
From an early age, Pat knew she wanted to be a physical education and health teacher. She began
her career at McKees Rocks High School and later taught at Montour High School, where she
retired. Her proudest accomplishment was founding Montour’s gymnastics team and inspiring
generations of young women to excel in the sport.
Pat met her husband, Richard F. Honeygosky, at a square dance, and they married in 1983.
Together, they shared a love of dancing and enjoyed 16 years of scuba diving adventures until
Richard’s passing.
Pat also enjoyed simple pleasures—playing bingo, crazy eights, and spending time with family
and friends.
She will be remembered for her dedication to her students, her adventurous spirit, and her kind
and steady presence.

Visitation will be at Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, 941 McCoy Rd. McKees Rocks, PA 15136 on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.  Interment will follow at St Mary Cemetery, 1000 Sharps Hill Rd, Sharpsburg, PA 15215.
