Patricia A. Barron

Patricia "Babe" (Funwela) Barron, 95, of Stowe Township, passed away peacefully at home on July 28, 2026, with her devoted husband of 55 years, Robert, by her side.

Born on January 9, 1931, Babe was the youngest child of the late Pasquale "Patsy" and Rose Funwela. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest, Pat, and Anthony Funwela, and her sisters, Ann Coppola, Minnie Pszolkowski, Natalie Velto, and Dolly LaCivita.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Robert, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Babe had a lifelong love for Pittsburgh sports and could always be found cheering on her beloved Steelers and Pirates. But more than anything, her heart belonged to her family. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by the people she loved. She was the heart of every family gathering, filling every room with laughter, warmth, and a welcoming spirit that made everyone feel like they belonged.

To Babe, family wasn't defined only by blood. She never met a stranger, and before long, anyone who crossed her path became a friend—and usually ended up calling her "Aunt Babe." She had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, loved, and at home. Her smile, quick wit, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Though her family grieves her loss, they find comfort in countless cherished memories of her love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and in the many lives she touched with her generous heart. She will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed.
