Michael Strasser

Michael J. Strasser, age 74 of Pittsburgh, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023. He was born on April 10, 1949, and was the son of the late Michael W. and Erica Strasser. He is survived by two loving sons, Ben Strasser, and Jesse Strasser; one grandson, Isaiah Strasser; four siblings, Christopher (Mary) Strasser, Mary Elizabeth Strasser, Ph.D. (Carlos Plummer, Ph.D.), Peter (Cassie) Strasser; Thomas Strasser, Ph.D.; sister-in-law, Ruth Strasser, and many nieces and nephews. 
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Strasser, and by two brothers, Stephen Strasser and Paul Strasser, and sister-in-law, Rosalie Strasser. 
Michael was a critical thinker and examined the world around him with a witty sense of humor; both qualities aptly displayed in his original songs.
Music was a passion he shared throughout his life at various family gatherings and with strangers in cafes across the country.
He was friendly and outgoing and left us a rich assortment of love ballads and colorful songs about life.

Michael was a son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
