Madge Presutti, age 95 of McKees Rocks, entered into eternal rest and everlasting life, peacefully on Saturday, April 8th, 2023. Born Madelba Francis of Italian immigrant parents (Felix and Anita) she answered to many names, Madge, Aunt Madge, Zia, and NaNa, and preferred all of them to Madelba. She grew to embrace her given name and to those that knew her, it exemplifies the uniqueness and beauty that she demonstrated throughout a life that spanned 10 different decades. Her life centered around Faith, Family, Food, and Fun. Her kitchen table always had room for one more. Her meals always cooked with a “dash of love.” She loved making and sharing her pizzelles (Italian cookies); and people loved eating them even more (famously known as “NaNa Cookies”). There was never a shortage of a story, a new joke, or words of wisdom. Her wit was quick, her laugh was contagious, and she was always generous with her time. She loved to travel, taking countless trips to Italy to visit relatives and bringing her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews with her on many occasions. She loved to bowl and passionately watched Pittsburgh sports (watching a game with Madge was as entertaining as the game itself). An extremely hard-working woman, she started working full-time at a young age in her family’s convenience store and continued working until retiring in her 70s. Following retirement, she spent her time visiting family and friends near and far, and most enjoyed regular visits by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lived a full, independent, and vibrant life that brought joy and love to so many, and it is in these memories that bring comfort.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Survived by two children, Sandy (Ralph) Gordon and Joe Presutti; two grandchildren, Bill (Lindsay) Gordon and Jenna (Matt) Seaburn; two great-grandchildren Roman and Sophia; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Joe; her three siblings Bea (John) Peters, Mayo (Marge) Francis, and Maina (Luke) Vavrek.
