LAWRENCE COLLINS MORRIS (LARRY)

Age 92, of Kennedy Township (formerly from Ingram), passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Patricia.  Lawrence was the beloved father of Judy (James) Adams and Linda (Gary) Recktenwald.  He was the grandfather of Lawrence (Jamie) Holmes and Christopher (Jaclyn) Holmes and great-grandfather to Fiona, Ariana, Cameron and Ty Holmes.  Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Anna Morris; sister Jean Gray, and brothers Charles, Edward, John and James, and many nieces and nephews.

Larry served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne and the Army Reserves Special Forces for a combined total of 13 years.  Larry had many varied hobbies and activities.  He was a certified scuba diver; played softball, enjoyed hunting, cross-country skiing, golf and horseback riding.

Larry retired after 35 years with Verizon as a Buildings Manager.

Above all his biggest interest and love, was his family.

Larry’s daughters are appreciative of his Heritage Valley Senior Living family, where he resided for nine years.  Residents and staff became family to all of us.  We would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support during this difficult time.  In remembrance of Larry’s life, the family asks that any donations be made to your favorite charity. Private funeral services were entrusted to the  Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, Inc. 941 McCoy Road McKees Rocks, (Kennedy Twp.) Pa 15136.
