John “Jack” Grochot, Sr., 77, died in his home on Thursday, September 28.  Jack was the son of the late Clement and Norma Grochot.  He was a graduate of John Carrol University, Cleveland.  He had successful careers in print journalism and law enforcement.  Upon his retirement he continued writing publishing both fiction and non-fiction, including several volumes of original Sherlock Holmes adventures.  He is survived by his children – Julie, Jack, & Josh – and his pal, his dog Bones.
