Jennifer Mary (Jones) Coates

Age 74, Jennifer Mary (Jones) Coates of McKees Rocks passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon on October 11, 2025, while in the hospital after a strong battle with numerous medical conditions.

Jennifer was born on October 2, 1951, to Frank E. and Eleanor Jones in McKees Rocks, PA. Jennifer graduated from St. Mary’s School in McKees Rocks, PA in 1969, and in October 1972 she enlisted in the United States Air Force.

Dear Mother of Frank (Mary) Jones, Grandmother of Isaiah, Jade, Destiny and Olivia Jones and Great-grandmother of Adriana Jones. Sister of Deborah (Walter Bajus) Romano and Frances D. Jones.

She was predeceased by her father, Frank E. Jones, and mother Eleanor Jones. She is also survived by her Aunt Amelia (Millie) McDonough and by cousins, and other family members.

She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother, to her family who love her very much and will miss her dearly.

Even over the last few years where she faced several medical challenges of her own, she always found time to be a part of the life of her family. When she was unable to visit in person, she would check in regularly by text or talks with other family members to see what they would be doing that day, and how everyone was. She was such a heart-filled person, and showed every bit of that to her family. Her passing will be such a change in her families and friends lives. They will all miss her dearly, but take comfort knowing that she is no longer in any pain.

Family and friends are welcome at the Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, Inc. 941 McCoy Road, McKees Rocks, PA 15136 on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Blessing Service will be celebrated on Saturday in the Musmanno Funeral Chapel at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
