Jean G. (Primorac) Redmerski

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother, Jean Redmerski, age 101, who passed away peacefully on July 30 with family by her side.  She was the beloved wife of the late John (Reo) Redmerski, loving mother of Richard (Linda), David (Mary Ellen), and Pat (John) Police; cherished grandmother of Kristen (Chad) Brittingham, Dana (Brian) DuMontier, Justin (Jessica) Police, Casey Griffin, Scott Redmerski, Todd (Nicole) Police, and the late Gregg Redmerski. She was the proud great-grandmother of 13 grandchildren. Jean and her late husband John ( Reo) believed strongly about the importance and value of family.  They enjoyed time with family on fall weekend trips to the mountains of Northern Pennsylvania, as well as summer trips to the beach. Her grandchildren tell stories about their “crazy and fun” sleepovers at Grandma’s.

Traditions were an important part of the Redmerski family. The most memorable was the Christmas Eve Holy Supper that Jean prepared for her entire family, even this past year.  Jean took pride in her vegetable garden and flowers.  She loved to travel and could list more than 20 countries that she and John visited.  One of Jean's most memorable qualities was her ability to lend a helping hand when someone needed it.  “When a friend or relative had no wings to fly, she flew to them.” Anyone who chooses to make a contribution in Jean’s honor can do so online on the website of the Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, or they can mail it to the Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, PO Box 9024, Pittsburgh, PA 15224 (attention donation in memory Jean Redmerski) Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Friday, August 02, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, Inc. 941 McCoy Road McKees Rocks (Kennedy Township), Pa 15136 Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Marys Church. Burial will follow in St. Marks Cemetery.
