Helen B. Spanard

On Sunday morning, April 14, 2024, Helen Spanard, age 92, of Moon Township (formerly McKees Rocks and Coraopolis) passed away peacefully at Apple Blossom Senior Living in Moon Township.  She was born on Wednesday, November 18, 1931, to Guglielmo (William) Battista and Angela Maria (Savatonio) Battista.  She was the spouse of the late Michael Joseph Spanard and the sister of the late Mary Schaukowitch (Huntz), the late Angeline Krobot (Bull), the late Albert Battista and surviving spouse (Dale).  She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Helen worked many years for Lincoln Savings and Loan and later Horix Corp.  She was a prolific reader and enjoyed listening to opera music and show tunes.  There will be no viewing.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Saint Joseph Church, 1304 Fourth Avenue, Coraopolis, PA 15108.  Procession to and prayers at Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Township.  Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Saint Anthony’s Patio.
