Age 90, of Stowe Township, after a short illness, passed away, Thursday, September 2, 2021. Preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Joe Sicilia Sr,. of Stowe Township. Helen is survived by her eight children and 4 daughters-in-law, Joseph (Marti) Sicilia Jr., Jeffrey (Christine) Sicilia, Cynthia (the late Marcel) Kessler, James (Jan) Sicilia, Jon (Lynn) Sicilia, Christine Sicilia, Joyce (William) Sicilia, and Jack Sicilia. She is also survived and loved by 40 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Helen had become the matriarch to a host of nephews and nieces that were very much engaged in her life. Helen was born in 1931 on the South Side of Pittsburgh, to immigrants, the late Andrew and Anna Kucerovy, from the Carpathian Mountains of Eastern Europe. She grew up poor and lived through the Depression, World War II, the Cold War, and many historical events of the past century. She very much enjoyed going to flea markets and playing bingo in the various churches in the area. Helen also very much enjoyed small children and toddlers and often baby-sat for many of the new arrivals in the family. Helen often said of how much joy they brought to her life and made her feel young. Family and friends welcome for visitation, TUESDAY, at the ANTHONY M. MUSMANNO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 941 McCoy Rd., Kennedy Twp., 15136, 12-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be celebrated, WEDNESDAY, 11:00 a.m., in the Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
