Frederick Joseph Herleman

Frederick (Fred) Herleman born July 14,1946 peacefully passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 surrounded by family. He was a NAVY veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed watching and cheering on his beloved Steelers. He worked for years as a Port Authority as a bus driver until his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Cheryl A. Herleman. Loving father of Heather (Daniel) Johnston, Rachel (Chris) Lewandoski, and Erik (Sara) Herleman, and his grandchildren; Connor, Wilma, Raven, Calista, Thea and Jameson. He also leaves behind his brother in laws Ken and Kevin Gmys, sister in law Kathy and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Rose Herleman, brothers Bernie and John, and sister Mary Jean. Family and Friends will be received at the Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, Inc. 941 McCoy Road McKees Rocks, Pa (Kennedy Township) 15136 on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  A blessing service will be celebrated in the Musmanno Chapel on Thursday at 6:00 pm. Burial will follow at a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be donated to DAV (Disabled American Veterans) at help.dav.org
