Fiorentina DiCesarespada

Fiorentina DiCesarespada, age 97, of Kennedy Township, died on January 24, 2022. She was born on November 23, 1924 in Pacentro, Italy and was the devoted wife of the late Marco DiCesarespada. 

Beloved mother of Mary Louise (Peter) Mochnach; cherished grandmother to Michelle (Thomas) Wagner and Nichole LoPresti; and adoring great-grandmother to Kaitlyn and Emily Wagner. She is also survived by one dear sister-in-law, Maria Lalama; as well as many treasured nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

In addition, she is preceded in death by her parents, Crescenzo and Maria Lalama; her beloved daughter, Frances and the late Nicholas LoPresti; as well as five siblings, Alberto (Rosaria) Lalama, Flavia (John) LaRocca, Phillip (Carmela) Lalama, Attilio Lalama, and Anthony (Edith) Lalama. 

Fiorentina spent her days cooking and baking for those she loved.  Her cookies and homemade spaghetti were always in demand at gatherings with family and friends. Fiorentina was an avid knitter and needlepoint artist. But most of all, she was a woman of great determination and conviction.  She was a source of strength for all those who knew her.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation at the Kennedy Township location of the Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, Inc. 941 McCoy Road, McKees Rocks, PA 15136 on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Malachy Church, 343 Forest Grove Rd., Coraopolis, PA 15108. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery (718 Hazelwood Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217).
