Evalyne Marie Anderson

Evalyne Marie Anderson (McCorkle) Born May 9,1960 in McKeesport, PA, but resided in West Newton, Pennsylvania. She passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Kane Reginal Nursing home in Ross Township, Pennsylvania. She was surrounded by her daughters April Wisniewski and Evalyne Anderson along with her sister Mary Elizabeth Gensler (after complications from COPD and permanent side effects from the COVID vaccines.) She was the youngest child of the late Newton who passed 1961 and Sarah McCorkle (Taylor) who passed 2009. She was proceeded in death by her oldest sister Jacqueline Joyce in 2007, her oldest brother James Newton in 1964 and two Grandsons. She is survived by siblings Georgia Deljean McCorkle (Thomason), Mary Elizabeth McCorkle (Gensler), Patricia Ann McCorkle (Hiles), Harry Thomas McCorkle and all their children. She was previously married and is survived by all five daughters she shares with Nelson Anderson: Elishia Marie (Youells), Sarah Frances (Roberston), April Lynn (Wisniewski), Natalie Faye (Dye) and Evalyne Marie. Along with 21 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and will have two more Great Grandchildren by the end of the year. Evalyne was often called by her nickname of Peggy or Old Nana to her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She enjoyed having her daughters April and Evalyne sing to her and paint her nails as well as visits from her grandchild and great grandchildren. She tried to always have a drink and snack for the little ones when they came around and would turn on a Disney movie for them to watch, even if it meant interrupting her Hallmark movie or her cooking/baking shows. She enjoyed being able to watch the deer from her window each day. Evalyne had a huge sweet tooth, especially when it came to chocolate. She was big fan of country music but also enjoyed the oldies. She had a love for the holidays, baking, coloring, as well as arts and crafts. She was loved and will be missed.
