Ella M. Pipich

Ella M. Pipich, age 93, of Kennedy Township, passed away on August 24, 2021 at home peacefully following an extended convalescence. 

She was the daughter of Ella and Anthony Perri and sister of Wilma (Perri) Mehalo (deceased) and Joseph Perri. 

Ella was preceded in death by her beloved husband Thomas R. Pipich, Sr. and niece Diane (Perri) Krymowski. She is survived by her three sons Thomas Jr. (wife Kelly), Joseph (who cared for her tirelessly over the past 2 years) and David (wife Susan), grandchildren Christopher, Julia and Stacie and nieces Joanne Karg, Mary Ella Sample, Christine (Perri) Michelangelo and nephew Joseph Perri.

Ella was a loving and welcoming mom, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. A wonderful cook and baker and master of the Christmas Eve and Easter gatherings that we all fondly remember, not to mention the considerable take home trays to follow. Recipes were closely guarded but in the end she’d tell anyone her secrets. 

She forged a long professional career as a medical assistant and office manager for a prominent cardiology practice, dabbled as an enthusiastic supporter and volunteer for political candidates and was always a sympathetic and helpful listener to all who sought her guidance. Everyone always felt welcomed with a smile.

She had a passion for gardening and was a longstanding member and officer of the Kennedy Township Garden Club and spent countless hours tending her own garden at home. She had the gambling spirit, enjoyed her occasional trips to Las Vegas with her husband and had occasional luck with the lottery.

But mostly, she was a wonderful and loving mom and she will be missed. 

Ella’s wishes were for her family and close friends to gather and remember her privately.
