Dominic Chickini, Jr.

Dominic “Chick” Chickini, of Moon Twp, formerly of Sheradan, peacefully slipped away on Friday, April 18, 2025.  Beloved husband of the late Janet (Weber) Chickini; father of James (Kimberly) Chickini, grandfather of Jonathan and Rachel; son of the late Dominic and Mary (Pallotti) Chickini. Brother to Naomi Kossler, Regina Honess, Rosemary Beere and the late Joseph, Gerald and Peter Chickini, Lucille Bilby and Catherine Cardello. Brother-in-law of Vince and Marlene (Weber) Valicenti.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Dominic was a veteran of the Korean War, Airborne Division. After his service in the Army, he worked at Shenango Steel as a mechanic for 35 years.  He was always busy constructing almost anything imaginable - a swimming pool, game rooms, decks, driveways, brick walls.  He was married to his loving wife Janet for 58 years. Dominic bowled a sanctioned perfect 300 game in 1970.  Besides traveling and spending time with his family, he adored his grandchildren.  He is remembered for his competitive spirit, honest opinions and friendly nature.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Archangel Gabriel Parish, St. Malachy Church, 343 Forest Grove Road, Coraopolis, PA 15108 on Monday May 5, 2025 at 10:00 am.
