Dennis J. Schmitt

Age 72, of Kennedy Township, passed peacefully into eternity on Monday, March 31, 2025. 

Beloved husband of 47 years to Diane L. (Havern) Schmitt. Dearly loved father of Douglas (Jessica) Schmitt. Beloved grandfather of Cadence Noelle Schmitt.  Originally from Troy Hill, Dennis was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Guenther) Schmitt.  He was the brother of Howard (Deborah) Schmitt, Richard (Valerie) Schmitt, and Michael Schmitt.  Son-in-law of the late Richard and Catherine Havern. Brother-in-law of Debra and the late Thomas Lewis, Donna and Bob Eckhardt of Cape Coral, Florida, and Richard Havern.  He is also survived by nieces and nephews.  Dennis was retired from ATM in McKees Rocks and previously worked for Sunfresh Foods in the Strip District. He loved his family, truck driving, gardening, and dogs. 

The family sends its deepest thanks to the staff of Heritage Valley Kennedy, Northwest EMS Services, and Heritage Valley Sewickley for the loving and compassionate care that was given to Dennis during his final days.  

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, Inc. 941 McCoy Rd. McKees Rocks, PA 15136.  A Blessing Service will be celebrated at 6PM in the Musmanno Chapel.
