Lake Wylie, SC - Debra J. Andres, 67, formerly of Franklin, Pennsylvania died unexpectedly after suffering a fall at her home in Lake Wylie S.C. February 10, 2023. She was born October 31, 1955 in Franklin, PA daughter of Richard E. and Adeline (Hudick) Andres of Franklin, PA. Debra graduated from Franklin High School, class of 1973. She attended Robert Morris University, Moon Township, PA and Santa Clara University, San Jose, CA where she earned her master's degree in Psychology. She was a commercial realtor in San Jose, CA until returning to Butler, PA for a short time, leading to her final home in Lake Wylie, S.C. for the past 2 decades. She retired in March, 2022 from Wells Fargo where she worked as a mortgage financial manager. Debra was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Clover, S.C. where she enjoyed being part of a bible study group. She was also a member of Lake Wylie Chamber of Commerce for many years, was an avid reader, gardener, a scrabble fanatic and she loved Sequence which she played on a daily basis. She was in various clubs including Book Clubs, Euchre, Cooking, etc. With her love of words, she challenged friends across the U.S. in Words With Friends. Debra was known for her talent as a gourmet cook and loved entertaining. She welcomed people from all walks of her life into her home, where she cooked and entertained them. She loved to travel and was looking forward to that aspect of her retirement. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard E. Andres, Franklin, PA. Debra is survived by her mother, Adeline (Hudick) Andres of Franklin, PA, one brother, Kevin Andres (wife, Cathy) and her beloved niece, Brianna,of Moon Township, PA. In addition, she is survived by two aunts, Jane (Hudick) Bell (husband, George) of Oil City, PA, and Nikki (Bourne) Hudick of Hyannis, MA and one uncle, Robert Hudick, of Erie, PA along with numerous, loving cousins. Debra will be sorely missed by her many cherished friends throughout the country. A mass of christian burial will be held in Franklin, PA on April 29, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Church, 949 Liberty St. 11:00 AM, celebrated by Father James Campbell. A celebration of life memorial service will be celebrated in Lake Wylie, SC, on April 1, 2023 at River Hills Marina Club, Lake Wylie, SC. 11:00 AM with Father John Giuliani residing. For memorial, the family suggests donations made in Debra’s name to St. Patrick's Church 949 Liberty Street, Franklin, PA, 16323, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org or a special charity of your choosing.
