David E. Munson

David E Munson, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully March 21, 2023 at his residence with his family by his side. David was born August 3rd 1953 In New Castle, PA to Francis and Lee Munson. He spent his life in sales mainly in the Pittsburgh area. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic church, and was baptized in 2020. David’s biggest passion was music. He was a lifelong musician and was part of multiple successful bands during his career. His love of music was passed down to his children. David’s family and friends will miss his dad jokes and quick humor. In 2021 after many years of courtship, David married his wife Carlotta Kabay. The two shared a home and many years of happiness till his passing. He is proceeded in death by his parents and two sisters; Barbara and Elizabeth. He is survived by his two sons, Paul R (Keri) Munson of Austintown, OH; Michael Munson of Youngstown; step daughter Bri(Chris) Halyak of Pittsburgh; his one brother James(Dee) Sloan of Dillsburgh; and his six grandchildren; Olivia, Cal, Frankie, Avery, Airalyn, and Arielle. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Friday, March 24 th from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at the Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, Inc. 941 McCoy Road McKees Rocks, PA 15136. A funeral service will be celebrated on  Saturday at 11:00 am in the Musmanno chapel. Burial will be private.  David and Carlotta would like to thank Maddie and Kelly of Hospice and The Donnell House for all their wonderful help and assistance during this time.
