Daniel Alan Densmore

Daniel Alan Densmore recently of Imperial and formerly of Bethel Park, passed away on June 11,2025,  following a long struggle. Dan was proud to have been born in Carrick. He attended and graduated from St. Basils high school. He graduated from Pennsylvania Military College as a polytechnical engineer and went on to serve in the US Army. After his active duty he continued serving in the Individual Ready Reserve for ten more years. He worked for Chromalox for over twenty three years and retired from the Port Authority of Allegheny County after fifteen years of service. Dan was a PIAA basketball referee for over thirty five years, serving the Keystone chapter of the PIAA as the rules interpreter for many years. He also umpired girl’s softball and was a PIAA volleyball referee. He was an enthusiastic Bethel Park Music booster serving in many different roles during his nine year tenure from coordinating the music trip to Chicago to running the hoagie sales for a year.  Dan was also an avid sports fan. No matter the Pittsburgh team, Dan rarely missed a game … Steelers, Pens, Pirates he watched them all. Dan and Cheri also spent several springs in Bradenton so they could attend Pirates spring training. 

Family and friends were hugely important to Dan. He was preceded in death by his brothers Bill (Mary Jo) and Marty (Kris) and is survived by his brother, Dave (Carol). He is survived also by his wife of forty five years Cheryl (Cheri), sons Bill (Becca) and Alan, daughter, Kate (Kyle) Simpson and his “bonus" son, TJ. Also surviving him are his dear grandchildren Wesley and Parker Densmore and Henry and Grace Simpson. He is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Friday June 13th, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, Inc. 941 McCoy Rd, McKees Rocks, PA 15136.

Funeral Service to be held on Saturday, June 14th at 2pm at Union Church of Robinson, 6165 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks, PA 15136.

Bereavement reception will immediately follow the church service at Pittsburgh Airport Marriott, 777 Aten Rd, Coraopolis, PA 15108.
