Betty Marie (Battista) Fazio

It is with overwhelming sadness that we say goodbye to our precious matriarch, Betty Marie (Battista) Fazio, who died on Friday, September 27, 2024 at the age of 91. She was the widow of James R. Fazio who died in 2001. Born on November 13, 1932, Betty was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Battista of Stowe Township, Pennsylvania.  Her two siblings, Salvatore and Evelyn died in childhood, and Betty grew up with sisters Eva Sherk, (Herb, both deceased); Gloria Cerrone (Frank, deceased); and her brother, Edward Battista (Helen, deceased). In 1952, Betty married her sweetheart, neighbor Jim Fazio, and they raised their family in the same Stowe Township neighborhood. They have four children:  James (Gretchen), Cheryl (deceased 1960), Ralph (Susan) and Joseph (Michelle Pivirotto, deceased). Betty and Jim were blessed with grandchildren: Stephen (Desirae Ober), Ralph (Courtney Hannan, deceased), Joseph (Samantha Toth), James, Christopher, Timothy (Stephanie) and Renae (deceased in infancy). The family is twice-blessed with great- grandchildren: Maia, Madelyn, Milena, Emma, Giana, Santino, Autumn and Cecelia. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Saturday, October 05, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. at the Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, Inc. 941 McCoy Road McKees Rocks, Pa (Kennedy Township) 15136. A blessing service will be celebrated on Saturday at 5:00 pm in the Musmanno Chapel. Burial will be private.
