Anna Rippole née Dabroski passed away at 100 years-old on Saturday, May 10, surrounded by the love of her family. A lifelong resident of Stowe Township, Anna was born on August 15, 1924, to Nicolai and Martha Dabroski, the sixth of seven children. Anna is a graduate of Stowe High School. She met Fred Rippole, her husband of 75 years, in the seventh grade. They married on November 30, 1944, while Fred served in the Pacific Theater of World War II. Anna was a caring homemaker with a warm house full of love for her five children, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was known for superb cooking, especially her Italian pizzelle and Ukrainian pierogi. Anna is survived by her son Joseph (Betty) Rippole and daughters Martha Farr, Theresa (Gary) Rich, and Susan Zanone. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred and her daughter, Mary (the late Paul) Tobin. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 19 at 11 a.m., Archangel Gabriel Parish (St. Mary Church). Burial will follow at St. Mark Catholic Cemetery.
