Obituary
On Thursday, April 20, 2023, Anna (Babe) Coben, loving wife and mother of four children, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 96. Her beloved husband of 78 years, Jack, was at her side.
Anna was born on January 25, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA to Charles and Gussie Berschler. She and Jack were married in 1945 and raised their four sons while continuing to reside in the Philadelphia area. Anna had a passion for music, travel, family gatherings and serving her community. She was known for her infectious smile, heartfelt laugh and gentle kindness. She donated much of her time to serving the Philadelphia Chapter of Women’s American ORT, including serving as Chapter President.
Anna was preceded in death by her father Charles, mother Gussie, and brother Tommy. She is survived by her husband Jack, their four sons, Larry, Stuart, Jeffrey and Robert, ten grandchildren and several cousins, nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
