CHESTNUTT
Steven Andrew
Age 54, of Dover, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Beloved husband of Elixia (Longworth) Chestnutt. Father of Stephanie Chestnutt of Fremont, OH, Corey (Stacey) Chestnutt of Maumee, OH, Kristy Chestnutt of Norton, OH, Zoey Chestnutt, Mallory Chestnutt, Rocco Chestnutt and Franco Chestnutt all of Dover, OH; grandfather of Lawson Chestnutt of Maumee, OH; son of Mary Chestnutt of McKees Rocks, PA and the late Kenneth Chestnutt; brother of Paul Chestnutt of Pensacola, FL, Mary Ann (Scott) Jones of McKees Rocks, PA and Judy (Joe) Smydo of Mt. Lebanon, PA; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Steven was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Darrell and Leona Chestnutt and maternal grandparents Elmer and Hilda Tarquinio. Steven was born October 6, 1963 in McKees Rocks, PA to Kenneth and Mary Chestnutt. He graduated in 1981 from Sto-Rox High School where he participated in the Gifted and Talented Educational Program while excelling in both baseball and football. After high school Steve attended California University of PA and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. After completing his degree Steve built his life in Fremont, OH while working for Wendy's as a store manager at various locations. Steve later married Elixia Longworth in 2010. In 2015 he continued his career with Wendy's as a District Manager in Dover, OH. Steve was a wonderful and loving father, husband, friend, and coach. During his life Steve was passionate about his family and sports. He loved to coach and be involved in his children's sports activities and teams. When he wasn't coaching or working, he was hiking with the family and enjoying nature. Steve took more enjoyment out of seeing others close to him succeed than celebrating his own successes. He was a private, humble, and generous individual who always put others first. Steve was very proud of his family and of where he came from. He loved Pittsburgh and was an avid fan of all Pittsburgh Sports. On football Sundays, you would find him in his seats at Heinz Field cheering on the Steelers. Steve was not just a great leader in his career, but especially for his family. No matter what type of day he was having, Steve never missed a chance to show the meaning of kindness and love for his family every day of his life. His presence will be missed, however his knowledge and values will always be carried on by his family and friends. Relatives and friends received Thursday 2-4 & 6 -8 PM where Service Celebrating his Life will follow at 8 PM at the ANTHONY M. MUSMANNO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 700 7th Street, McKees Rocks, PA 15136.
