Jane we were so sorry to hear that Dick had passed away far too young. I was shocked when I heard the news in a Church Saturday evening. I knew that I had not seen you for some time band was unaware that you no longer lived in Shaler. Our prayers are with him and your family. Frank and Mary Ann.

Very saddened to hear about Dick. A fierce competitor and a great achiever in his walk of life. His work I will remember each time I enter St. Bonaventure Church for his part of making the church a beautiful piece of work.

My sympathies to the Schmitz family. Seems like yesterday when I taught the girls at St. Bonaventure. Dick will be in my prayers. John Michel

My condolences to Jane and the family. I enjoyed working with Dick and assisting Jane and Dick as we volunteered handling out medals at the Head of The Ohio races for several years. I am saddened by news of his passing at such a young age.

I am so sorry for your loss. We all grew up together near St Francis in Rockwell City and spent lots of time playing football on Dick's yard and basketball on the concrete slab in Dick's backyard.

My condolences to Jane, Betsy, Sarah, Rachael and grandchildren, and to siblings Denny, Jane and Sam and families. I have many fond memories of Dick from our childhood days in Rockwell City. He was so bright and kind and made friends so easily (especially with that great laugh of his!). I hope you'll find comfort in your memories of him and know that his goodness touched so many of us so long ago.

My deepest sympathy to your family. We've lost a great friend and wonderful human. He was the best of all of us-a kind soul with with a strong moral compass. He has meant so much to me throughout my life. Dick was my best man many years ago and will always be the BEST MAN. I will miss him forever and I cherish our childhood memories. Rest well my dear friends you said in your father's eulogy-- I'll see you in the morning !
Love Daryl
