Liz, age 96, passed away peacefully after a long illness on March 23, 2017. She is survived by Carmen Grosse Hoecker (Doug) and Roland Grosse (Deborah); two grandchildren, Marc Hoecker (Catherine) and Robin Hoecker (David); and two great- grandchildren, Henry Charles Hoecker and Amelia Jean Walle. Liz was born in Germany, became a US citizen in 1955 along with her husband, Rudolf Grosse (deceased after 57 years of marriage). They settled in White Plains, NY, and moved to Monroeville after retirement. Liz was an active member of the International Women's Club of Monroeville. She has donated her body to the PA Humanities Gifts Registry. The family will hold a private celebration of her life. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. (alz.org).
