My family relocated to Pittsburgh in 1993 so my husband could attend Carnegie Mellon University. We had three small children with a 4th arriving a year later. Having met Jan at church, she became our kids' adopted grandmother, "Grammy Jan," with her joining us on field trips to the Carnegie Museum or having us over to her place for lunch. They loved that she loved elephants and made sure we brought one back for her one year after visiting family in Texas. She was a dear soul who gave much. I look forward to remaking her acquaintance in the New Jerusalem. I give God thanks for Jan Moravec. May you know his presence and comfort as you continue in life without her at your table.

Peace & Song,
Stacey Regan

SORRY TO HEAR OF JAN'S PASSING. I DIDN'T GET TO KNOW HER MUCH WHEN HER AND VINCE ( MY GOD FATHER ) LIVED IN BEAVER. I DON'T REMEMBER HOW SHE GOT IN TOUCH WITH ME. I WAS A REALTOR THEN AND SHE LISTED THE HOUSE WITH ME. SHE ALWAYS TOLD ME THAT SHE FELT BAD THAT SHE NEVER GOT TO KNOW ME EARLIER. --MY DAUGHTER SUSAN, WROTE THE PAVLINICH FAMILY HISTORY A FEW YEARS BACK. YOU HAVE MY SYMPATHY, ROSE CLARK

We were deeply saddened to hear of Aunt Jan's passing. She will be dearly missed. We always enjoyed her conversations and looking at pictures she always seemed to bring to the Moravec family reunions. One of our lasting memories will be seeing her at the Carnegie Museum when we visited with the family and she was volunteering there a few years ago. She will always hold a special place in our hearts.

With thoughts and prayers,
Ray, Mary, Devon and Lindsay Moravec

Thanks very much for your thoughtful message, Ray. The Carnegie post was indeed dear to her heart, but I find it ironic that she used to admonish me for bringing too many photos of, say, Oman to the reunions! Hope to see you soon. Again, your words are greatly appreciated.
