Harriett (Braun) Schmidt

Age 72, of Stowe Twp., passed peacefully on Saturday morning, February 3, 2018, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of 47 years to William J. Schmidt; dear mother of Daniel Schmidt, Paula (late John Wegley) Schmidt and Kristina (Matt) Dermyer; grammy of Johnpaul, Justina, Sierra and Adylin; sister of Sr. Ann Braun, R.S.M. and the late Barbara (Frank) Hyde; daughter of the late C. Harry and Justina Braun. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Harriett was a school secretary at the McKees Rocks Catholic Elementary School for many years and volunteered at the Sisters of Mercy Infirmary for many years also. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Wednesday 5 p.m. until time of Blessing Service at 7:30 p.m. at the ANTHONY M. MUSMANNO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 700 7th St., McKees Rocks, PA 15136. Private burial will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 10 a.m. St. John of God Parish, the Church at St. Mary's. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the Sisters of Mercy.
