It is with great sadness that the family of Tony Kirsch announces his unexpected passing at home on Tuesday March 20, 2018, at the age of 66. Tony will be remembered by his wife of 44 years, Lois (Cersosimo); and his daughters, Kelly Kokoski (Tom) and Shelley McMahon (Sean). Missing him so will be his grandchildren, Alina, Mac, Stanley, Maddox and Myles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Leah; along with two brothers, Jerry and Ricky Kirsch. He leaves behind a sister, Joyce Gutt. Tony was a no-nonsense, uncommon individual with his ever present unlit cigar. He cared only about the things that really mattered and the heck with anything else. In reality, he would have liked his obituary to read: I was born. I lived. I died. But Tony, your life was so much more. He married the love of his life, Lois, where they became longtime residents of Stowe Twp., raising their two daughters there. Tony was retired from the Sto-Rox School District where he was a custodian. He was extremely proud of his daughters, Kelly and Shelley. He loved his sons-in-law, Tom and Sean and thanked them numerous times for taking his daughters off his hands. There seemed to be a loving tone in Kelly and Shelley's voices when they called him Dad. He was always by their sides to help, to support, to celebrate successes and to accept defeats. We are hoping he knew all along how much he meant to us. Tony was a constant presence in his grandkids lives and being a Pappy was the best part of him. God saw him getting tired and wrapped him in his loving arms and whispered, Tony, Come with Me. A peaceful journey to our dearest Tony, beloved Dad and amazing Pappy. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at the ANTHONY M. MUSMANNO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 700 7th St., McKees Rocks, PA 15136. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
