Deanna (Lodovico) Mongiovi

Deanna Mongiovi, age 86, of Robinson Township, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Guy Mongiovi, loving mother of Rose Gazdik, Rick (Laura Lee) Mongiovi, Gina (Chip) Frantz, and Renee (Scott) Swasey; cherished grandmother of Mark (Stacy) Gazdik, Matthew (Kim) Gazdik, Michael (Danielle) Gazdik, Ricky (Lauren) Mongiovi, Randy (Heather) Mongiovi, Rachele Mongiovi, Robby (Emily) Frantz, Kristin (Frank) Sporter, Roman Swasey, and Alaina Swasey; and great-grandmother of 16 great grandchildren.

Deanna loved hosting family gatherings on Sundays, celebrating her Italian heritage with homemade pasta and meatballs, she was an avid baker who found joy in baking dozens of delicious pizzelles and other baked goods, she adored her weekly trips to the dollar store and visiting the casino was her favorite pastime. She enjoyed playing the penny slot machines, hoping to leave with more than she came with and scratch off tickets that she thought would all be winners! She took pleasure in ironing wrinkles out from clothes to pillow cases and ensuring creases were in the right places. On birthdays, loved ones anticipated a call from her that would consist of a music box blaring the happy birthday song to make our day complete. We are comforted knowing she is now with our Lord and Savior, finally at peace.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 9th from 2-8 pm at Anthony M. Musmanno Funeral Home, 941 McCoy Rd., McKees Rocks, PA 15136 (Kennedy Township). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 10th at 10:00 am at Archangel Gabriel Parish, St. Malachy Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
