Died peacefully with her daughter by her side on April 3, 2018, in Pittsburgh, PA, at the age of 96. Rose is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Reichl) Champ; grandchildren, Christian (Lorena), Colin (Juli), and Chelsey (Paul) Trieu; and great-grandchildren, Nash Champ Trieu and Alex J. Champ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Philomena Pesce; and siblings, Lawrence, Catherine, Theresa, Mary, William, Patsy, and James. Rose was born on January 17, 1922, in McKees Rocks, PA. She married John Reichl, and in 1951 they had a daughter, Cynthia, who was the love of their life. John and Rose were married for 68 years until his death in 2014. Rose was an accomplished cook and often made large Italian feasts for her family and friends. Her homemade pies were a favorite dessert for all. She also loved singing and entertaining and put her dreams of having a career as a singer on hold to take care of her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who looked forward to seeing her grandkids in person and on FaceTime. Rose was a people person, kind and congenial, volunteering at Ohio Valley General Hospital for decades and also a dedicated member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America.
