I would like to express my deepest sympathy. The pain of losing someone we love to death is a pain that never truly goes away. A comfort that has helped me at times like this, is a promise from our Heavenly Father. He promises in the near future to swallow up death forever & to wipe tears from all of our eyes. This is a happy thought to meditate on in such dark times. (Is.25:8)
